Out of these Waters

Of all the Disney couples, Ariel and Eric always seemed the most genuinely teenaged to me. Like they'd talk on the phone excessively and share ice cream sodas with two straws. Something like that.

You know something - even though I KNOW the whole world uses Photoshop, I just can't ever seem to get used to it. It always feels funny. It has a billion buttons and settings but it never does what I want it to do. Anyway, I stuck with it and I tried lots of new things here.

I want you to know that I spent a fair amount of time doodling on Eric's hair, trying to make it look neither dorky nor eighties, and I have news for you: it cannot be done. It is too dorky and too eighties. So I had to just embrace it. Then my little sister drifted by and told me he looks "like a bishonen." Not exactly what I was going for, but not BAD, since he sure doesn't look like Eric.
