When I was a little girl, I unflinchingly believed that Ariel was nuts for not wanting to be a mermaid.
I still do. ~~~~
This week was pretty exhausting, so I needed to draw Ariel. That massive hair always makes me feel better (you know how it is). I sat in the backseat of my car and sketched this at lunchtime.
Ariel always makes me feel better. *gets dreamy expression*
Gorgeous!!!

Gradon: "Have you ever read Tom Sawyer?" Millie: "No I don't believe I have...was he sexy?" Gradon: "He was twelve" Millie: "Well if you got it, you got it"
Glad I'm not the only one that felt that way. I always wanted to run into her on the beach one day and tell her "Look Ariel, they repremand their daughters up here too. It's not much more fun" and then switch places with her if she still wanted to be human. I was a strange child
This is gorgeous by the way I love how you did her hair!
I agree! I always wanted to be a mermaid. I actually changed the lyrics to part of your world so that I said that I wanted to live in the sea. I love your depiction of Ariel-- she looks so cute and happy!
haha you too? What's wrong with being a mermaid I say?! Then again it's just the whole "The Grass is greener on the other side" bit. But talking to fish would be awesome.
She's very happy, daydreaming probably. And all that wonderful hair, that was another odd fascination of mine as a child...I always wanted to touch ariel's hair if it could ever be possible.
Great job on this! *gives dorky thumbs up*
