I have been a loyal Haunted Mansion fan for probably ten years now, but darned if doing fanart for it isn't tricky. I've been working on some version of this drawing since February of last year, and I've finally managed to finish the latest incarnation. Phew.
This is the second-edition 'beating heart' bride who used to reside in the attic before being replaced by Constance in 2006. The original Bride was spookier, but the second one in all her mysterious and tragic glory is my favourite, with her curls and her glowing eyes. I know fan backstories for her exist, but I prefer to make up my own. It's clear to me that somebody done her wrong.
By the way - the glowing of her heart is not acting as a light source because it is magic. Also, She is a ghost and so the light doesn't reflect off of her. Okay?
she was always the best bride. the first time i went on HM as a child, i was so terrified--i was not good with anything scary XD--until i got to the attic. the bride was creepy in a soft, eerie way, with her beating heart and how everything was so quite. but i also felt so badly for her. anyway, great job!
THIS IS SO COOL! However, upon reading the comments that you have listed, I have noted one item that is missing... In example, you simply enter: (c) Disney, how easy can that be?
Cause this is the first time I heard about this.
